Tell us about yourself

Hi, I’m Netra Parikh and currently work with Pinstorm (A Digital Advertising and Marketing Agency in Mumbai) as Logistics and Admin Head. ‘Networking’ in a word describes me best and has pretty much been the defining factor to many situations in my life.

How long have you been blogging and what's your inspiration behind it all?

Although I don’t consider myself to be much of a blogger, I would rather term it as Online Networking, since I’m in love with networking and meeting people online, discussing work & common interests and taking things a step further by encouraging/organizing offline meets.

You are a famed Twitter personality. How did it happen?

To me, Twitter is like oxygen. It helps me connect with/track people and their activities online. Twitter has been a great platform to keep a multitude of conversations going all at once, truly enhancing my networking capabilities. I believe, being an active member of the platform helps in skyrocketing your popularity, it plain simply takes dedicated time to read posts, reply to them & initiate conversations….an active member gains a healthy following. Having said so, it’s not about focusing on gaining popularity/followers, it’s about utilizing the platform to gain access to people in a way that didn’t quiet exist in the recent past, the rest is just brownie points.

Tell us something we do not know about you?

This may sound strange coming from a supposed extrovert, but I am a very reserved person :P

How do you juggle your work schedule and networking?

Networking is something that comes naturally to me, think of it like a recreation of sorts, feeding my endless need to know/connect with people. So transitioning between work & networking is seamless & since I end up spending about 15-16 hours a day during my 5 day weeks, its all the more time I’ve got to interact with people!
