Yesterday DigiMouth reported about RCom boasting of launching “India’s first high-speed wireless broadband service”. Now we have yet another boastful claim of the “fastest wireline broadband on DSL in India”. And this time its telecom giant Bharati Airtel.
Airtel has launched its 16 Mbps broadband connection backed by it’s Carrier Ethernet Network. But the highlight is the
online campaign launched to propagate the services.
Buffed ImpatientOnes.com the website talks about the features of the latest Airtel offering in a designesque manner. The website features achievers from varied walks of life who they believe are “The Impatient Ones”. Swarathma is currently the hottest Indian folk-fusion band around. The bassist for the band Jishnu Dasgupta is featured on the website along with Sukhmani Sadana (a script writer and model) and Shiv Bhaskar Dravid, the founder of TheViewsPaper.net.
Regular users could choose to express their “impatient” side in the section titled ‘Make a million friends’. You can explore the ‘Speed Test’ which gauges your net connection in varied adjectives. But I really dislike the section titled “Done in 30 Second” which features a short flash clip. The nonsensical flash clip left me speechless (maybe I am not that creative to understand the “big idea”).
Currently the Airtel broadband service can be availed in Chennai, Delhi NCR and Bangalore.
