The highly awaited OS 3.0 for iPhone is finally here! Wait, don’t get excited, for it isn’t going to be on sale till later in the summer. For now, we’ll just have to see what the beta version looks like. And so far, it seems pretty good! Of course, being a beta version, there still are a few bugs, but hopefully, those should be sorted out before the actual launch.
For a long time, people were speculating over whether Apple would launch a hardware upgrade as well, but so far, the rumours don’t seem to be true. But the software has some great facilities that the iPhone users will greatly appreciate. Some of these include:
• MMS Support (only for the 3G model)
• Cut, Copy and Paste feature which can be used throughout the system
• Spotlight search now available throughout the system
• Landscape keyboard
• Stereo A2DP Bluetooth streaming (only for the 3G model)
• Shake-to-shuffle function
• Live video and audio streaming
• WiFi auto-login for hotspots
• Forwarding and deleting of individual messages
Of course, these are only a few of the really great ones, but there are plenty of more changes that will make life a whole lot easier as well as more interesting for iPhone users. As of now, we will all have to wait in anticipation to see whether it has what it takes.
