Kiruba has been doing extensive work on Wikipedia India. In fact he conducts Wikipedia Academies wherein people can meet up, share their gyaan and in turn help build the community.

According to his recent blog Tamil Wikipedia has close to 17,000+ articles contributed by a small team of 50 Wikipedians while the Telugu Wikipedia leads the pack with 42,000+ articles.

But Kiruba instantly points out that most of the contributions to both Wikipedia’s are from people living outside India. Read his blog to understand the fucntioning and role of Wikipedia Academies.
