The future of the mobile industry seems bright. Everyday you read (and DigiMouth reports) about some or the other product launch, service innovation, tie-up, acquisition and more. And there has been a sudden surge in mobile driven applications. It looks like everyone is in a hurry to churn out mobile applications.

And guess who has joined the bandwagon – Sam Pitroda Group and Dainik Bhaskar. Both of the companies have got into a joint venture to create launch MeraMobi.com under the India Interactive Technologies Limited – (IITL) banner.

This unique mobile application provides info on stocks, lets users pay utility bill payments, and book rail and air tickets. All this is enabled through GPRS on ones phone. MeriMobi.com is designed and developed to offer a bouquet of transaction, information and entertainment services under one roof (or webpage). MeraMobi.com uses hi-end technology to conduct monetary transactions via the phone. It surely is targeted at PDA owners and professionals who are on the go.

IRCTC has tied up with MeriMobi.com to offer rail booking services. While the website has even tied-up with Bill Desk for utility payments, Infomedia for yellow pages, and Naukri.com for job listings.
