Pearl Uppal, ex Director Sales at Yahoo! India and Harish Bahl, founder of Smile Interactive Technologies Group have partnered to launch an online retail venture called Fashionandyou.com. Harish Bahl is the founder and chairperson at Fashionandyou.com with Uppal as the co-founder and CEO.

The site, that went live today is based on the concept of sample sales wherein high-end fashion/luxury brands will offer certain products at discounted rates of up to 70% Fashionandyou.com is part of a global alliance that comprises of international sample sale websites like Brazil (Brandsclub.com.br), Canada (Beyondtherack.com), Switzerland (Fashionfriends.ch), Russia (Kupivip.ru) and certain websites from Turkey and Australia as well. Besides investment by founder Harish Bahl, Fashionandyou.com has received additional funding from European investors who have a stake in the other websites within this alliance.

With a target on the SEC A and SEC A+ segment, Fashionandyou.com has positioned itself as a ‘private shopping club’ that aims at bringing global luxury brands to the Indian market at a nominal rate, making it a unique offering to a very niche customer base. Any activity on the website requires membership access which can be either requested for by divulging basic contact details or an individual could receive an invite by a friend or the website directly.
