Well if YouTube knows to pull a fast one on April Fool’s Day then why should Google stay calm. Ashwin Dutt had reported the YouTube prank earlier and now I present the Google prank.

google_smUsers using the Google Books came across an announcement propagating a new “Cognitive Autoheuristic Distributed-Intelligence Entity” (CADIE). Based on the stereoscopy technology CADIE supposedly brings you the web in 3D. cadieGoogle eve provided “printable glasses” to experience the web in 3D.

Their explanation of the creation is the disconnect between the online and real world. Apparently the technology converts a web page into anaglyph format in real time.

All users needed to do is download Google Chrome and experience the nonpareil phenomena. Well if you fell for it we surely think you are a fool. Anyway CADIE seems to be a marvelous way to market Chrome and in turn play prank. You can see the prank in detail by clicking on this link.

All I can say is Google never fails to surprise us with their April Fool’s Day pranks. Good Going Google!
