The internet giant Google now aims at a high velocity of online networking. This super fast network will be able to serve up to over half a million people. Seems unbelievable?
The internet company has locked horns with AT&T as well as Verizon Communications Inc. with the vision of neutral networking. Google looks at demonstrating such a carrier that can handle intricate web applications with a huge bandwidth minus any performance hindrance. Now that’s brilliant!
Other telecommunication companies are under the burner with the likelihood of losing their grasp over internet access. This initiative by Google will nudge telephone companies to allow users to run just about any web application they wish.
Google said yesterday, that the motive is not to build a nationwide network but to test a service that provides such an online speed that is 100 times faster than the usual network. An estimate of 50,000 to 500,000 individuals would be supplied this service with a price that is competitive.
Google has only divulged that the network would operate on fiber optic lines. But we all are well aware of the internet master’s potential.
So let’s be patient and ready for the dawn of a new form of online networking.
