The status between Google and Apple has always been very cordial and symbiotic. However, today, their mutual decision to take different paths has left thousands of iphone users speechless (read search-less).

In the world of technology, it has been quite a trend for two companies to collaborate and co-exist. And by far, the situation held true amicably between Apple and Google. But with the sudden rejection of Google Voice Apps from the Apple front as the iPhone application- the wheel of peace spun quite dramatically. And the climax being, exclusion of Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, from the Apple Board of Directors!

As known, Apple and Microsoft have often been at loggerheads when it comes to their operation software. All the same neither are Google and Microsoft are on the best of terms. But nevertheless, Google still formulates ways to ensure their products work in sync with Microsoft Windows software. And hence, how far would this Google- Apple hatred affect Google is a question.

This rather awkward step taken by Apple somehow does not seem to reward them in any manner, so to say, as Google Apps is available on other mobile phones such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Android OS, Blackberry and many such devices which give them a transparent chance to hit the score. And again with ample methods available of getting Google Voice on U.S. smart phones, it’s quite unlikely that Google would lose its monopoly over the smartphone business industry.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has investigated the iPod Apps store claiming it to be highly competitive. However, this comment does not seem to uplift Apple’s image as a fierce competition is already clawing its paws in the market. And it beats me as to why would the FCC intervene in something that regards these two companies, in the first place. Time to call partiality a day, and let legal competition take its course, is what my suggestion would be to the FCC.

And all that we are left with now is how Google utilize their link with the U.S. administration to their advantage! Excitement never ends!
