Humans are an inquisitive bunch and thus are constantly pondering and mulling over many things. In fact they are always questioning anything and everything. But finding answers to varied questions could be a task.

Keeping the latter thought in mind Indiatimes.com has launched its QnA forum designed to help users “Ask, share and Learn”. Well, the new community-driven QnA forum (in its beta version) lets users ask a question, answer a question and even argue to an answer. The forum even awards points and badges for people with the ‘best answer’. You can even tag your questions, add categories and even get email reminders when someone answers to your question. Users need to have an Indiatimes ID to use the QnA service.

Indiatimes.com is selling the property as a knowledge sharing source which helps users get answers to the quirkiest questions. But with the already existent Rediff QnA forum the new Indiatimes property has nothing novel to offer.

Overall Indiatimes QnA is a decently executed product and will find its set of loyal users in the course of time. The only questions are:

- Whether Rediff QnA will counter the launch by adding new features or simply stay low?

- Do Indian users really need another QnA forum?

- Why did Indiatimes take so long to launch the forum?
