The most awaited film in a decade which releases worldwide today, ‘My Name is Khan’, was streamed on our very own Facebook!

With such a big hue and cry from the masses surrounding the fact that the Shahrukh-Kajol starrer screening in Mumbai faceMy-name-is-khans trouble, our online networking hero, Facebook, came to the rescue.

The movie premiere at Abu Dhabi two days ago was also telecast live on sites such as Facebook and uStream! Isn’t that phenomenal?

All die-hard fans of the star-studded film round the globe caught the premiere of the movie online. All they did was visited the event page, RSVP’d, and then simply clicked on the play button to watch the event. The S-K-K trio,(Shahrukh-Kajol-Karan) are presently attending the movie premier at the Berlin Film Festival today.

Recently, we also mentioned the online release of another movie called Striker, as well as the upcoming IPL which will be showcased on Youtube. What with the rising power and potential of online networking sites, seems to me that the web is a mirror of Bollywood. In fact, with movies and events being watched online, it gives us an added advantage to place our views and opinions on the table and exchange them with others. Now that’s one-upping!

So lately, if you do not possess tickets to a movie premiere, you could still catch it within the four walls of your home, right on your couch, live! Seems like all you need is a good internet connection, a Facebook account and a stack of popcorn to be part of Bollywood premieres!
