Amazon’s Kindle may just have a big brother very soon, as the prominent online bookseller has announced the launch. The company held a press conference in New York at the Morgan Library and Museum where Jeff Bezos launched the product. And their timing couldn’t be any better, as the existing model sold out way before the holiday season. This is the second year in a row that this has happened. 

amazon_logoThe current version of Kindle is being sold for $ 359, and is a gadget the size of a normal paperback novel. It allows users to download books and newspapers onto a high-resolution screen with a white background and black text, which actually makes the readers feel like they are reading a real book. This wonderful electronic book can hold around 200 non-illustrated titles.

The new version of Kindle has a few features that will make book lovers jump for joy, these include better battery life, faster page refreshing, a text-to-speech option and will also be thinner than its predecessor by .36 inches. In order to promote the new Kindle, Amazon has also roped in renowned author Stephen King to write a novella exclusively for Amazon.

Amazon is currently America’s largest online retailer. It was formed by Jeff Bezos in 1994, and was launched online in 1995. They have long since expanded all over the world, and have different websites for a lot of countries including Canada, UK, China, Japan and many more.
