India’s first ever digital film, ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha, which is on the brink of hitting theatres this year has something much more in store for viewers besides just being a peculiar style of film.
This much talked about digital movie which centers round the unraveled stories behind striking headlines over the years brings a ray of promise for all those who love being behind the camera. As we hear through the grapevine, Dibakar Banerjee, Director of Love Sex Aur Dhokha and Ekta Kapoor, Owner of Balaji Motion Pictures have circled in on an online contest for all those aspiring filmmakers.
The Love Sex Aur Dhokha video contest welcomes people to shoot their own short films (10 minute maximum duration), with DV cams, handy cams, mobile phones or webcams. It is however mandatory that the theme should revolve around either/or love, sex and betrayal of course. One can then upload their films on www.lsdthefilm.com with a synopsis and contact details. If their film exceeds the 10-minute barrier, they could upload it on YouTube and post in the link to www.lsdthefilm.com. These films will then be reviewed by Dibakar Banerjee, Ekta Kapoor or any nominated individual from BMPL. No prizes for guessing what happens next!
Winners of the contest will be rewarded a chance to attend the special international premiere of Love Sex Aur Dhokha as planned as well as free merchandise from the movie. Another feather in your hat would be the honour of assisting Balaji Motion pictures in their forthcoming ventures!
