The next time you visit a Monginis outlet, make sure you are using the social application Foursquare. Indian Media Agency Red Digital have tied up with Foursquare to launch the country’s biggest digital media campaign which starts from today.
Foursquare is a social application available for smartphones. Using the app, people can update statuses about their current location on Twitter or Facebook. The software even lets you check your friends locations.
Talking about the new campaign, CEO of Red Digital Harsh Jain said,
“foursquare has rapidly emerged from being a new player to becoming one of the hottest platforms to promote a brand on social media. It can do wonders for retailers and restaurants, as their customers end up becoming their brand ambassadors and go on to influence friends through their experiences rather than standard promotions by the brands. This pan-India launch for Monginis emphasizes our continued focus on digital innovation aimed at bringing value to our clients”.
Monginis is one of India’s biggest names in the FMCG Sector. The brand is known for its confectioneries and cakes.
With the new campaign, Monginis will be able to find out loyal customers and give away rewards to them. Foursquare lets users add tips and comments along with the location which helps the brand to get noticed.
Regular visitors, who ‘Check In’ on FourSquare during each visit get a ‘Mayor’ badge on their profiles. This makes the whole concept of finding loyal customers easily. Apart from this, the Mayor badge will be visible to all the users, which adds further incentive to the customers.
The campaign will be used on a PAN India level. Monginis has 447 outlets all over the country and the brand will run the campaign in all the outlets.
Virendra Ghole, GM for Marketing and ECommerce at Monginis said,
“Over the years Monginis has created a big fan following through its network of retail shops. As the world becomes increasingly tech savvy, Monginis has to update itself and allow its fans to express their liking for Monginis and its products in the online space also. Foursquare is doing for us exactly what we and our fans desire”.
With the rapid growth of Smartphones and social media in India, the new campaign can be called as a ‘sweet’ move by Monginis.
