There has been a sudden trend of investment firms taking keen interest in early stage start-ups. The trend promulgated by Y-Combinator is spreading like fire. Following the same trend Bangalore based Morpheus Venture Partners has announced its second batch of 7 new Indian start-ups. Morpheus Venture Partners (MVP) is a Business Advisory Firm focusing on early stage start-ups.
MVP will mentor these 7 Indian start-ups and help them find seed/angel investing options. MVP is modeled around the Y-Combinator, which has been a leader in the investment and seed fund industry. MVP plans to close a fund of about $ 5 million by the second quarter of 2009. This will help MVP to directly invest in the companies.
