The MTV reality show Roadies has skyrocketed to fame since it was aired a few years ago. But when last years winner Aashutosh Kaushik managed to sweep the Big Boss title in 2008 I was sure that Roadies, from now on, would be considered as a must-do by every teenager (or call thema wannabe) bubbling with hormones.

The show is famed for taking a few wannabes, putting them through gruesome tests, insulting them and finally announing a winner. MTV has unleashed the 6th season of the famed reality show on 29th November (which was a Saturday) at 7 pm.

This year they have settled for the tagline “Ab Do Bar Lagegi”. And it is simply because Raghu (the infamous man behind Roadies) will be accompanied by his bald twin in this season. But this news item aims at focusing on the website created for the reality show and not the the BALDwin twins.

This microsite created for Roadies 6 fails to impress and is filled with Raghu’s bald profile. I have seggregated my review as per the sections (or call them links) on the website.

Doodle Whack
This cartoon section is about Raghu and his twin insulting and poking fun at the entire exsistential process. The quality of the cartoon column is average and sometimes you cannot read the text. This cartoon column can only crack up the MTV team as it seems they are simply sharing internal jokes via this section (unless the wannabes relate to them). 

Rear View
Like the name suggests this section has vidoes and clippings from previous episodes. Nothing exceptional unless you want to see Shambhavi, Anmol and the gang sling mud on each other and yet talk about bonhomie.

Mobile
There is only one mobile game (which is surely ripped from an online flash game site) and all you need to do is rev your bike (maximum throttle) and do stunts to achieve a good score to proceed to the next level. You will even find a few wallpapers and screensavers featuring Bani, Shambhavi, Ranvijay and others posing.

Shot on Sight
This section is dedicated to the kids (or lets call them wannabes) who had turned up for the Roadies audition. You can take a look at exclusive audition pictures put up in this section.

There are even a few games lined up for those who could not make it through the audition round. In factkeep checking the ‘Games’ section as the MTV team would be uploading a new game every Wednesday. For now you could calm your nerves by slapping Raghu in the latest game while he hurls abuses at you. On the other hand the ‘Downloads’ section has nothing great to offer other than a few wallpapers. The website has a link to Roadies exclusive Orkut page where you could chat and interact with other Roadie wannabes.

In the end the new Roadies website has nothing great to offer (unless you want to be a Roadie; which proves you have nothing better to do). So if you feel it is time you wanted to get insulted and degrageded by somebody other than your family and friends then the new Roadies website (or the show) is the perfect destination. So lets get on with the insults…what say Raghu!
