Opera Software, the Norway based browser maker has finally launched their much awaited web browser Opera 10.10. The unique feature of Opera 10.10 is that along with web browsing, the end user can avail of various other activity options, like stream music and media content. One can also share files, photos, documents from the opera browser itself instead of accessing third-party sites to perform similar actions. The latest version of Opera is bundled with server capabilities of the ‘Opera Unite’ platform to perform the activities mentioned above.
Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, said, “We promised Opera Unite would reinvent the Web, what we are really doing is reinventing how we as consumers interact with the Web. By giving our devices the ability to serve content, we become equal citizens on the Web. In an age where we have ceded control of our personal data to third-parties, Opera Unite gives us the freedom to choose how we will share the data that belongs to us.”
The purpose of Opera 10.10 with Opera Unite is to do away with third party applications for sharing content through the Internet. Users will now no longer need third party messengers, social networking websites, photo sharing applications, etc. as all these tasks are performed Opera 10.10 itself.
Opera 10.10 with Opera Unite offers various default applications bundled within it. A major advantage of Opera 10.10 is that users can share multi-GB of photos, stream music to mobile phones as well as gaming consoles besides the usual computers. The latest version (Opera 10.10) is available for download free of cost.
