In a bid to woo its customers and promulgate its newest offering, Reliance Communications (RCom) has a few tricks up its sleeve. In fact they are trying to attract users of rival connections by offering a Rs. 3600 annualised savings scheme.
Targeted at high value customers (those with tariff plan of over Rs. 1099) RCom has plans to launch `Change2Broadband` – a swap offer wherein data-card customers using competitor connections will be automatically upgraded to Reliance`s Netconnect Broadband Plus service. Even existing RCom users will benefit as they plan on introducing the same offer.
In fact RCom has tied-up with Alcatel Lucent to establish data network. Currently with over Rs. 600 crore investments in its data business RCom will be offering the service to 20,000 towns and 4.5 lakh villages.
