We recently interviewed Saurav Patnaik from Social Twist. In fact the company is soon going to make waves once they launch the new version of their famed social widget plugin titled Tell-a-Friend at the Ad-Tech conference in San Francisco this month.
The new version of the product would be available in 7 languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Dutch and Turkish). Plus it enables the user to brand their own widgets, buttons and email templates. The new look and feel is shown in the image below…

But the highlight of the newer version is the patent pending word of mouth advertising service. The latest solution adds more value to regular pay-per-click banners and display ads. The image below shows the embedded ads offered.
Now regular visitors will be able to send banner ads by email to a peers, colleagues, friends or family. This surely adds a whole new ecosystem of possibilities to both publishers and advertisers.
