Arena Mobile, a leading global B2B mobile content provider has been acquired by Italy based Neo Mobile, a major player in the mobile D2C (direct to consumer) sector. The acquisition will lead to creation of a major mobile entertainment entity – ‘The Neo Mobile Group’
Arena Mobile is a global content provider with significant presence in Latin America and Asia Pacific regions. Arena Mobile has exclusive content partnerships with several media brands globally including Femina and Filmfare in India.
The acquisition will allow Neo Mobile to leverage these partnerships in the D2C space it specialises and will also strengthen its position in the B2B space, which has been Arena’s forte.
Josep Anton Aliagas, CEO of Arena Mobile said that this partnership will strengthen their business model and current shareholders including him will continue to remain with the new group.
In India, Arena Mobile has been operating for over 2 years now out of its Mumbai office. South East Asia and Indian operations of the company are helmed by Ranjan Reddy (ex-Indiatimes) who has been instrumental in striking various big ticket content partnerships for Arena Mobile.
