Now users can enjoy varied TV channels via the Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Limited (TTML) mobile network. TTML has finally launched its mobile TV services in Mumbai using technology from Hyderabad-based Apalya. The company received Rs 2 crores to create MiMobiTV, which is an application. Users will avail 25 channels out of which some are:
CNN IBN
CNBC
TV18
Times Now
NDTV 24×7
TV9
Aaj Tak
ETV (Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati)
Jaya TV
Zoom
Pogo &
Cartoon Network
Priced at Rs 15 for 5 minutes the service seems expensive compared to that of BSNL offering Rs 10 for 24 hours. The other drawback is that only four phones will provide the service:
Motorola V3C (Razr)
Samsung Max (F679)
Samsung Duo (W339) &
Samsung T-Nimbus (F519)
The company aims at extending its listing of channels and is in talks with varied companies. The application will be available for download on Tata Zone very soon.
