Tata Teleservices Limited’s (TTSL) has become the first Indian telecom operator to have entered Second Life, a 3D virtual world where users can socialise, connect and create using voice and text chat. It looks like the foray into Second Life is an extension of their latest brand campaign ‘Suno Dil Ki Awaaz’ .
TTSL aims at creating their own island in Second life and would be inviting users through a talent hunt. This move surely seems great as it opens a whole new world of possibilities for TTSL. Indusgeeks Solutions Private Limited has partnered with the telecom giant to initiate the new strategy. Indusgeeks is known for creating online 3D immersive spaces as they specialise in virtual world development and services.
In recent reports Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd (TTML) has shown a growth in subscriber base. Though TTML rolled out their network in 127 tons in Maharashtra this quarter the company reported revenues of Rs. 515.86 crores (12% rise from Q3 in 2007).
