Forget hunger strikes and rallies. The new way to rebel and agitate is through social media. Well Fixoutlook.org is just one of the examples of the new found tool (or let’s call it a weapon).
I
t all started when Campaign Monitor, which offers email marketing softwares, found Microsoft using Word to render HTML emails (as it did in its 2007 version) in the beta version of Outlook 2010. Many users have expressed their woes regarding the replacement of the HTML engine to Word. THere as a lot of dissappoinment on Outlook brushing away web standards for Outlook 2010.
The website showcases Twitter profile pictures of tweeters and thus looks cluttered. In fact this is the perfect medium to express customer grievances and feedback (which Microsoft aptly demands). But the rate at which FixOutlook.org is gaining momentum it looks like Microsoft will really need to gear up and give in to the mass demand.

FixOutlook.org is the best example of the reach and power of social media. In fact DigiMouth had recently posted about the way Iranian’s are using social media to inform the world about their crisis. In this era people are finding newer ways to express themselves against evil systems, unbiased laws, worthless products and many other issues. Social Media is just one of the many tool.
